Medical is one of the world leaders in the area of research, development and industrial use of nano technologies in the textile field. Our team collectively makes up 16 years of experience, research and patents. We bring an innovative solution in the areas of air and liquid filtration, the pharmaceutical industry (protection of airways, peroral products based on nano soluble films), medical devices (advanced covers for wounds), cosmetics (patented healing face and body masks), and a number of technical textiles using nano-elements. Nano-fibres are the future of the textile industry.
In 2021, NANO MEDICAL received the Quality Ambassador award for a new, patented, type of adhesive bandage. The Czech company for quality appreciated the innovative method of using nano-fibres from gelling biopolymers for healing wounds. This method brings a new premium level of care for wounds and an increase in the efficiency of healing the wounds, and a decrease in the costs related to this process are expected.
The new patented products will be available in the Czech Republic and abroad and commonly available for consumers by the end of 2022.
Ing. Marcela Munzarová, Director of the Nano Medical, s.r.o., is a world-renowned expert who has established her position through her knowledge of and innovative approach to the use of nano-fibre structures. The results of her work can clearly be seen at the time when sharp changes, both natural and social, are occurring around the planet. However, it did not just come about from one day to another. It is true even in this case that systematic long-term activity leads to excellent results.
Ing. Marcela Munzarová began to show an interest in modern textiles as a student of the Technical University in Liberec, where, besides traditional textile technology, she focused especially on composite materials. Consequently, she experienced in practice what it was like when the industry, which had been the cornerstone of the local economy for 400 years, stopped innovating for a couple of decades. Moreover, most conditions for doing business in the parts of advanced Europe as a result of which the industry was not able to compete with Asian countries.
Ing. Munzarová, however, is one of those people who never give up and continue searching for solutions and new opportunities.
In 2005 she was impressed by a new groundbreaking technology which, coincidentally, originated in her area of specialization. The technology for industrial production of nano-fibres, originally developed and patented at her alma mater, the Technical University of Liberec. She transformed her experience and effort into success in the first commercial Czech company providing tailored manufacture in the field of technical nano-fibres. This was one of the Czech – and European – pioneers. The combination of development and the endeavour to assert herself in the world led her to considerations concerning the use of nano-fibres in many other areas.
These considerations, expertise, and entrepreneurial mindfulness resulted in the establishment of the nanotechnological company Nano Medical, s.r.o., whose mission is to offer on the market top-quality materials in the segments of medical care, cosmetics, filtration and many other technical applications. In the very first months of the company’s existence, series production of the material Anti Microbe Web R was launched, which is a filtration medium used in medical masks and respirators. Thanks to the exceptional capture of bacteria and viruses, these products perfectly fulfil their task consisting in fighting the covid-19 pandemic. Another exceptional application is the patented technology – bioactive nano-fibre structure ChitoFib, developer for medical plasters and wound covers, which literally accelerate the regeneration of injuries.
